Welded copper-aluminum crimp lugs


Type: TAM(s)

  • Designed for termination of aluminum cables and wires by crimping and connecting them to copper busbars and terminals of electrical devices
  • Operating voltage: up to 35 kV
  • Material: grade AD1 electrical aluminum and grade M1 copper
  • The copper and aluminum parts of the lug are connected to each other by friction welding and provide strong contact of metals at the molecular level
  • The blade of the lugs is displaced relative to the central axis and is located below the barrel
  • In accordance with European standards, the contact blade is made completely of electrical copper. The boundary between the copper and aluminum parts of the lug runs along the “neck”, which eliminates the possible contact of aluminum with the copper busbar and further formation of a galvanic pair
  • The lug barrel is made of aluminum bar and is a solid closed structure
  • It is recommended to round up the sector-shaped conductors with a set of NM-300 S (KVT) dies
