• Designed for terminating cables w/ cross-linked polyethylene insulation rated for up to 10 kV
• Each bolt lug is multi-size and is designed for a range of cable sizes
• The bolts are arranged in a row on the lug body
• The central symmetrical hole in the lug body intended for the cable core contributes to the uniform distribution of the electric field
• Body and bolt material: special aluminum alloy
• Plating: no plating
• The lug is mounted on the core by screwing the shear-bolts. The bolt heads snap off when certain torque is applied, which ensures optimal mechanical and electrical properties of the contact joint.
• The design of the bolts has several grooves — snap-off “necks”, so that the head snaps level with or below the surface
• The blade of “KVT” bolt lugs is displaced relative to the central axis and is one step lower than the barrel
• The grooved knurling on the inner surface of the cylindrical part of the lugs increases the area and mechanical strength of the connection
• Each lug blade has a stamped marking indicating the rated cross-sectional areas and the manufacturer's logo
